![]() I had move myself out to the flight point in the zone and Moronae had camped there the week before so was still there. WoW Classic, however, had other ideas.īut first we had to pick up where we left off with Moronae’s class quest in Un’goro Crater. Some wildly optimistic part of my brain thought maybe we could even slip in and finish Moronae’s class quest. I had a notion in my head that perhaps we could run down the lead-in quests for Sunken Temple and then maybe set foot in the instance for a bit, just to get started. The boost in damage over what he had been swinging suddenly made him viable again and I got a few levels on him before I found another polearm at the auction house. Nobody needed it so I asked if I could have it for Wilhelm and, as it turned out, it was just the thing he needed. However, at the end of Zul’Farruk a polearm, Khoo’s Point, dropped as a bind on equip item after a fight. I thought he might have been a lost cause, as he hit something of a wall at about level 40 where at-level mobs were starting to get the better of him and grinding them out was starting to feel like a real grind, where he had to stop and recover after every fight. I have a few still lingering in their 20s and another in his mid 30s. As tends to happen, I rolled up a bunch of alts and some have fallen by the wayside. The paths of my alts, out in the world leveling up, tend to be messy, with starts and ends that are more a function of my play time available than having reached the end of a particular zone or quest line.īut I have carried on with alts, at least a couple of them. That is both because that is where I have spent most of my play time as well as the fact that the tales of the group tend to be nice, discreet stories that have a beginning and and end. I have been mostly on about the instance group in WoW Classic for the last few months. That went to Ula, who got to show off our second single-eye piece of gear of the run. He dropped the Chief Architect’s Monocle, which was definitely mage gear. Moronae ressed up Skronk and we saw what else Fineous had. We started shouting at Moronae to loot the corpse to get the quest item in case we wiped, but then his inventory was full and there were a few awkward moments while I pulled out every ability I had that wasn’t on cool down to keep going. We killed Fineous, but Skronk went down as well. ![]() We focused on Fineous, but things got out of hand as the non-elites have ranged attacks at started going after Skronk. That was more of a fight than we were expecting. In a rash moment I popped him with my gun to pull him, but got another golem and his three helpers together. We cleared one of the golem groups when he wandered into range. On the far side of that was the area where Fineous Darkvire roams. That comes from the seven dwarves room, down the other path. We were there at the Black Anvil, which is where you need to go to forge Dark Iron Bars from Dark Iron Ore… however, I did not yet have the recipe for that. He was no problem, though we did take the fight back in the hallway this time, having learned about his knock-back last time we fought him and not wanting to end up in the lava by mistake. Skronk has some fish needs for alchemy and my pally was the furthest along that path, so I kept on going, getting to 225 and the Nat Pagle quest. He is also 300 in cooking, mostly a side effect of spending some time working on fishing. I had saved up enough cloth in the bank to get him all the way to heavy runecloth bandages, but had to go back and grind out enough wool to make the jump. I took him over to Redridge to farm for wool cloth because he ended up stuck there when it came to first aid. In addition to generally hunting for mining nodes and working on engineering, he has also been working on some of the secondary professions. I am ever distracted by some side task or another. My progress has not been exactly lightning fast of course. It is also a place where felcloth drops, and we need to start collecting that for Ula so she can turn it into mooncloth. In another level or two he’ll be able to walk that through without pulling half the neighborhood.Īt 53 I am about ready to head back up to Felwood and carry on with the next set of quests up there. ![]() My pally is an engineer, so he was able to make the mithril casing for the Chasing A-Me 01 escort quest, but he got mobbed by apes and failed it. I still have a few more quests left in the zone.
